PROTECTING LAND

We work with farmers to implement measures that protect and reclaim their land, including reforestation, contour terraces, and shelter belts.

Our nursery grows tens of thousands of trees every year to reforest Haiti’s stripped off mountains. Our agronomists train farmers in best practices and work with them for no less than a year to insure that they succeed. When farmers see an increase in food and cash crop harvests, they stay on track with good land practices. How do we know?….because ninety-eight percent of the trees we’ve ever planted are alive and thriving. In the reforestation business, that is remarkable.
